Let me introduce myself, I am Steph and I am the Founder/Director of Spirited Hearts®

I am an Early Childhood Educator, Certified Level 2 Aware Parenting Instructor, Parenting Support Counsellor, Play Therapist (in training) and Home Educating parent (following a natural learning approach).

Psychology/Counselling Background

I have always had a passion for psychology and counselling, which is why as soon as I finished school, I went and completed a Bachelor degree in psychology, followed by various other counselling qualifications. However, it wasn’t until I had my first son in 2013 that I realised my niche passion was in assisting parents and children to live their best lives. I delved deeply into Aware Parenting, Unconditional Parenting, and Playful Parenting and the philosophies and practices resonated deeply with me.

Early Childhood Educator Background

I first started out as a Family Day Care in Canberra at the beginning of 2015, alongside my husband. Now, we are based in QLD and we are an Natural Learning Haven for children aged 1-8 years old. We provide community and a sense of belonging for homeschooled children over 5 years old, and we provide a natural learning, play-based environment for younger children to learn about themselves and the world.

With a strong focus on meeting each individual child’s needs in an emotional supportive and caring environment, with many adventures and investigations into life along the way.
